I'm sure many of you are big fans of Viktor & Rolf's iconic women's fragrance, Flowerbomb. Seven years after its release it still makes it into the bestselling fragrance charts, becoming a modern classic.

Now Viktor & Rolf have launched a menswear fragrance to keep Flowerbomb company. The debut men's scent, Spicebomb, is a powerful mixture of chilli, saffron, leather, tobacco, bergamot and grapefruit. That possibly sounds like a disgusting mixture, but I promise it's actually gorgeous. I usually prefer men's fragrances to women's, as they're less sugary, and I've started wearing Spicebomb myself.

On Wednesday night I somehow ended up in a deserted London car park with a selection of other Handpicked Media bloggers, where Viktor & Rolf staged a surprise explosion to celebrate the launch of Spicebomb. When the countdown hit zero a "spicebomb" went off, releasing confetti and the fragrance into the air. It was without a doubt the most original launch I've ever attended. If I manage to get video footage of the explosion (and the surprised screams) I'll share it.

Liv Tyler covers the March 2012 issue of Marie Claire UK. The March issues are always the second largest editions of the year (after September, of course) so I'm looking forward to all the fabulous spring fashion content that will be coming our way over the next week or so.

Liv wears a look from the Prada Spring/Summer 2012 collection on the cover - a collection that has quickly become the most photographed of the season. Somehow I don't think this will be the last we'll see of Prada's candy coloured dresses either. An elegant pair of crystal-drop earrings completes her cover look.

Shopper Bags Make a Comeback This Summer

Yesterday I spent the evening at My-Wardrobe HQ, where buying director Luisa De Paula introduced a select group of bloggers to the Spring/Summer 2012 trends they've bought into. One of the key accessory looks Luisa is really excited about this season is the return of the shopper bag. They tie in perfectly with the sportswear influences that are going to be huge for spring and their clean lines and bold colours are refreshing and fun.

On the high street Dorothy Perkins has a surprisingly good selection at the moment, and once Zara's end-of-season-sale stock clears there should be plenty of chic shoppers on offer. If you're looking for a hard-wearing investment buy though I'm all for the Michael Michael Kors jet set tote [below], which comes in both tan and black. It's such a classic design.

I've never read Oyster magazine before and if I'm honest I've never really felt the urge to either, but I'm loving the February/March 2012 cover featuring Christina Ricci in a Dolce & Gabbana dress. Christina is still one of the most interesting actresses in terms of editorials, as she has such a unique look, and although this squinty-eye pose is kind of awkward I think it works well. Yesterday the Haute Couture collections came to a delightful end with the Valentino Spring/Summer 2012 show [left]. It's always hard to pick a favourite couture show, and this season I'm really struggling to chose between Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab. Both collections were so light and romantic - perfect for spring. I hope we see them on the red carpet soon. The Oscars would be the perfect occasion.

The cover collage definitely sums up the mood of the season - with pretty pastels acting as the key trend. The latest issue features interviews with Brit designers Jonathan Saunders, Meadham Kirchhoff and Erdem and also promises a "Monopoly-style game customised for fashion fiends." It's a well known fact that I love what Riccardo Tisci is doing at Givenchy. He's one of my favourite designers and I was devastated when it looked like he'd be moving over to Dior. Luckily he appears to be staying put, but unfortunately I wasn't overly excited about the Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture collection. Obviously you can't fault Riccardo's skill - the detail and craftsmanship in this ten piece collection is extraordinary - but this season Givenchy was so dark and heavy. It could easily be an Autumn/Winter collection.

Hopefully the collection will grow on me once we see it in editorials and on the red carpet. But on another note, do you think any of the models dared to play basketball in their couture?

As a blogger I spend a lot of my time sitting in front of a laptop, so for my "work wardrobe" comfort plays a big factor. But ever since Christmas I've hit a bit of a fashion slump - everyday I reach for a pair of black skinny jeans and a trusted Topshop knit. Not exciting at all! So I've shopped around for some new ideas; printed denim is in and I'll be swapping my plain knits for cheeky T-shrits. I'm also tempted to invest in these Ash wedges. Do I dare?

The Hunger Games' Effie Trinket Wears McQueen

This morning I woke up to the best surprise possible: issue one of Capitol Couture, the Tumblr blog that is leading up to the March release of The Hunger Games movie. I'm a massive fan of the books (I read them all last year, one after the other until my eyes hurt) and cannot wait for the film. But until this morning I thought The Hunger Games was one of the few things on my non-fashion-related "likes list" - alongside ER and property TV shows. Turns out I was wrong.

It looks like the fashion-loving residents of the Capitol are going to be dressed in some top labels. Check out Effie Trinket's Alexander McQueen "Faithful" booties. They're pretty much the main focus of Capitol Couture's first issue. You can buy the "Faithful" boots HERE.

According to Capitol Culture: "When it comes to the day-to-day, Effie likes to complement her exquisite full body polish with audacious garment selections paired with dazzling footwear such as the daring 24-Karat McQueen peep-toes she was recently spotted wearing in the City Circle. It’s no surprise Capitol designers are literally lining up to create her next pair. And who wouldn’t? When it comes to shoes, Effie’s got sole. “The higher the heel the better. Chanel Couture Spring 2012 Red Carpet Predictions

The Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2012 collection, which showed this morning in Paris, had an airline theme. Models walked down an aeroplane aisle and the venue was built to resemble the inside of a private jet. It was yet another playful and imaginative idea from Karl Lagerfeld, and I don't suppose it will be long before the couture looks are travelling first class to LAX for real. This collection was filled with dresses that will make A-listers go weak at the knees.

Looking through the collection I saw plenty of gowns suitable for Karl's favourite girls (Diane, Keira, Blake, Alexa et al), as well as the likes of Evan Rachel Wood and Rachel McAdams. Here are a few of my red carpet predictions, see if you agree with my pairings:

I also think Kate Bosworth, Rachel Bilson, Freida Pinto and Michelle Williams could be spotted in this collection. Will Michelle choose Chanel for the Oscars? That would be pretty amazing!

Cameron Diaz's New Look: Love it or Hate it?

As mentioned yesterday Cameron Diaz is currently in Paris for the Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture shows. Yesterday she was front row at both Atelier Versace and Christian Dior, and according to Twitter she was also spotted at Chanel this morning - although I've yet to see pictures. Anyway, Cameron is one of my favourite Hollywood ladies and it's always a treat to see her on the red carpet, but recently her fashion mojo seems to have taken a hit.

Cameron recently had her hair cut into a short bob and I'm really not keen on the style. At yesterday's Versace show she looked great in an all-black outfit but the hair was letting the look down. Granted, it wasn't as bad as her recent appearance at the Golden Globes after party, but Cameron can do so much better. What do you make of Cameron's new look?

KARL by Karl Lagerfeld Hits Net-A-Porter

As you all know, Karl Lagerfeld has created a special one-off collection for Net-A-Porter, which launches on Wednesday. Yesterday I headed over to Net-A-Porter's London offices for the press preview, and I loved what I saw. With just over 70 pieces the KARL line offers everything you need to channel Lagerfeld's iconic style. The colour palette is mostly black and white - obviously - with just a hint of silver and maroon (there is also one lonely pale pink item in the collection) and the collection features everything from shoes through to jackets.

Prices start at £20 for a canvas bag and for T-shirts and small accessories prices mainly stay below the £100 mark. Here's a closer look at some of my favourite KARL pieces:

Atelier Versace Spring 2012: Spot The Oscar Dress

Versace is always a winner over awards season and we're certain to see at least one Atelier Versace gown at the Oscars. But which dresses will make the cut? The Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture collections show in Paris this week, and kicking off the festivities this morning was Atelier Versace. The Italian label's couture collection was shown on a runway, rather than in a private presentation, this season, and there were some truly magnificent designs.

The strapless silver number [below] is my top choice for the red carpet, as the metal corset detailing makes the waist look tiny and the sheer fabric over the legs adds an extra pinch of sex appeal. I was also really keen on the yellow corset [above], which would stand out beautifully on the red carpet if re-worked into a dress. Yellow is the 'It' colour right now...

In true Versace style there were also plenty of dresses perfect for Jennifer Lopez. I think the shimmering green number has J.Lo written all over it, don't you? However, Diane Kruger, Cameron Diaz and Abbie Cornish all watched the show this morning, so they're likely to get the first pick from the collection. I wonder what they'll all choose...

Four Of The Best Peplum-Waist Spring/Summer Buys

Sometimes I find fashion confusing. Take the Spring/Summer 2012 trend for peplum-waist skirts, dresses, trousers and jackets, for instance. The flirty feminine look was seen just about everywhere, from Givenchy to Jason Wu (left), and is one of my favourite new-season trends. So why then is it almost impossible to find this look in stores?

I know it's still only January and the end-of-season-sale stock is still hanging about, drooping off rails depressingly in the corner of shops, but I want a peplum! After a series of frantic online searches I only found a handful of peplum-waist designs, and I've whittled those down to just four keepers.

The Tibi stripe jacket and Ted Baker cream dress (which also comes in black) are my two favourites. But Topshop and DP also have two good offerings:

SHOP THE EDIT: 1. Ted Baker peplum dress, £99; 2. Tibi peplum jacket, £440 (US $495);

3. Topshop peplum skirt, £28; 4. Dorothy Perkins peplum dress, £45

I'm very tempted to invest in the Ted Baker dress, which can easily be disguised as a peplum skirt if worn with a jumper. And although the Dorothy Perkins pink design is a little too girly for my taste the pastel shade makes it perfect for rocking two S/S trends at once.

Victoria Beckham Gets A Fringe For Numéro Tokyo

It's amazing how fast a magazine cover featuring Victoria Beckham spreads across the internet. Writing about her Numéro Tokyo March 2012 cover now feels like old news, even though it only got its online release on Saturday. I'm not going to talk about how great the cover is or get excited about her leather Burberry trench because you'll have already heard it. Instead, how great is her hair? I'm loving Victoria with a fringe/bangs. Are you a fan?

Victoria doesn't strike me as the kind of person who's happy to permanently change their hairstyle for the purpose of a magazine shoot, so this must either be her own hair cleverly arranged to look like a fringe or a clip-in piece. And although we can only see half of VB's face I really like this look on her. I've done a quick Google search and it doesn't look like Victoria has ever had a proper fringe - just a few choppy side-swept looks from her 'Posh Bob' days.

Wouldn't it be great to see Victoria with a full fringe? It's been a while since she changed her hairstyle and bangs are having a bit of a revival right now, with Zooey Deschanel and Taylor Swift both rocking the look. Should VB go for the chop too? Let me know what you think...

Jennifer Lopez has never been shy about showing off her to-die-for body, so it comes as no surprise that she's all over the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring Summer 2012 collection. For the filming of an upcoming episode of American Idol Jen chose to wear a eye-catching blue animal print gown from the collection, flashing a lot of leg in the process. Do you like her look?

If you've been keeping a close eye on the spring collections you'll know that thigh-high-slit skirts are big news right now. They were especially popular on the Milan runways (those Italians are so saucy) and have quickly started popping up on every red carpet worth talking about. Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron both showed a bit of leg at the Golden Globes.

Michael Fassbender covers Interview magazine's February issue, so it's not like anyone really needs to be convinced to buy the issue. But if you still need a reason then check out Elizabeth Olsen's beautiful editorial. Shot by Glen Luchford and styled by Bill Mullen, the youngest Olsen sister is pictured looking sultry in black. And while we're on the subject of Elizabeth, was anyone else disappointed that she wasn't at the Golden Globes on Sunday night? Although she lost out on a nomination I expected to see her on the red carpet, and if I'm honest the Globes could have done with a some Olsen magic. Fingers crossed she's at the Oscars!

The V&A Announces Hollywood Costume Exhibition

If you live in the UK and were feeling a little down about the fact you'll miss out on the Prada/Schiaparelli Met exhibition then I have some good news for you. In October the V&A will be putting on its own show-stopping fashion exhibition, Hollywood Costume, which will be sponsored by Harry Winston.

Opening on October 20th and running until January 27th 2013, Hollywood Costume will place the most iconic film costumes together under one roof. We're talking Audrey Hepburn's black Givenchy dress from Breakfast at Tiffany's, the gingham dress Judy Garland wore in The Wizard of Oz and even Michelle Pfeiffer's Batman Returns catsuit.

The full list of the 100+ costumes that will be on display is being kept secret for now, but I hope Carrie Bradshaw's Vivienne Westwood wedding dress from the Sex and the City movie makes the cut. It was the film's one redeeming feature, after all... Which iconic Hollywood costumes do you hope to see on display?

Big Hair is Back in Vogue, But Does That Make it Cool?

Remember when Cheryl Cole turned up to the first round of X Factor auditions in the US with a supersized hairstyle? It did not go down well and within a week she was ditched from the show. The bad hair day probably had nothing to do with Cheryl getting fired from the judging panel (although showbiz is fickle) but that didn't stop people drawing a link between the two.

Now US Vogue seems to be doing a bit of damage control (for big hair, not Cheryl) by enlisting the help of superstar hairstylist Guido, who gave Karlie Kloss and Isabeli Fontana massive 'dos for the February 2012 issue. This over-the-top hair makes Cheryl's X Factor style look positively flat. Are you a fan of their massive hair?

Personally I think this statement-style works well in the editorial, but I do wonder it's just another small step towards a big-hair comeback. Would you ever wear a similar style?

Clothes I Want to Wear: Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2012

Although Rooney Mara failed to make a massive impressed at the Golden Globes, on Sunday night, I was still a fan of her Nina Ricci dress. I agree she could have made more of a statement, but Peter Copping is one of my favourite designers right now, and I'm loving just about everything he does at Nina Ricci. Take the Pre-Fall 2012 collection, for example: it's 25 looks of clothes I'm desperate to wear. You wouldn't say no to the pink coat, would you?

Rooney's Golden Globes dress was part of the Pre-Fall 2012 collection and I wouldn't be too surprised if we also saw the blush pink dress [above] make an appearance over awards season as well. It has red carpet written all over it.

Fashion Loves The Olympics: See The Olympia Hat

Whilst we're on the subject of Kate Middleton's fashion influence I've just stumbled across the perfect hat for her to wear to the London 2012 Opening Ceremony. Designed by Bundle MacLaren, who specialises in bespoke headpieces, the Olympia hat is made from five intertwined coloured rings covered with goose biot feathers. It's probably a little OTT for Kate's taste (it may be better suited to Princess Beatrice) but it would make such a great statement.

The Olympia hat can be yours for a reasonable £106, but if you're not all that excited about the Olympics (I must admit I'm not) then Bundle's "Love" headband or parrot headpiece may be more your thing. Those are some pretty impressive stats if true. Well done Kate!

Michelle Williams and Zooey Deschanel: Girls in Wigs

Michelle Williams poses in Stella McCartney underwear for the February 2012 issue of GQ US. I really want to like this cover because I love Michelle, but I don't. I'm going to blame Lindsay Lohan, who is constantly posing as Marilyn Monroe in next to nothing. Or, in the case of Playboy magazine, literally nothing.

Lindsay has cheapened the Marilyn image. And now Michelle unfortunately looks cheap too. But even if the Lindsay thing wasn't an issue I'm still not sure I'd like this shoot as it's impossible to ignore the wig. I've done a little Google-research and I don't think this wig was used in My Week With Marilyn (but I haven't seen the film yet, so am not 100% sure). Is Michelle's wig bothering you too? And if so, then how did you feel about Zooey Deschanel's hair at the Golden Globes?

Over lunch with a friend yesterday I mentioned that Zooey's hair looked a little strange on the red carpet and learnt she was actually wearing a wig. Apparently she couldn't cut her hair because she wears it long for New Girl so she wore a wig to get her desired hairstyle. You have to admire her dedication even if you don't like the wig.

Rihanna's Emporio Armani Shoot with Mert & Marcus

As you all know Rihanna is the new face (and body) of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. And this morning the Armani team released these exclusive pictures from Rihanna's campaign shoot, taken by iconic fashion photographers Mert & Marcus. My favourite image features Rihanna "chilling" on a sofa whilst showing off the pocket detailing on her jeans. That has to be the most uncomfortable and unnatural looking pose I've seen in a while.

America's Next Top Model should definitely start challenging their contestants to see how long they can hold the "casually relaxing but, oh look, aren't my jeans cool?" pose. Maybe Rihanna could even make a guest appearance to teach her modelling tricks. I'd SO watch that!

Shoe Loving: Miu Miu's Crystal-Embellished Sandals

You all know the story with the glitter booties of last season: waiting lists, sizes out of stock across London, mass panic. I don't see why it should be any different with these beauties, below.

The crystal-embellished suede sandals with glitter platform arrived on Net-A-Porter last Friday. Currently every size from an IT 35 through to an IT 42 is in stock. Although who knows how long that will last. Especially as we're now in the middle of awards season and if these shoes say anything it's, "Take me to the red carpet." Michelle Williams would look great in them!

Taylor Swift Covers US Vogue February 2012

Usually I find Taylor Swift fairly annoying. It's because of the fake shocked face she pulls out every time she wins an award. Luckily her shocked face does not make it onto her US Vogue cover. The February 2012 shoot - photographed by Testino - has totally won me over, if I'm honest. It's easily one of my favourite Vogue covers from the last year or two. Now I'm the one with the shocked face!

People are already comparing Taylor's US Vogue debut to Gwyneth Paltrow's October 2005 Vogue cover and I can see why. Beyond the fact they're both wearing hats (obvious comparison really...) Gwyneth and Taylor are quite similar. Perhaps Taylor is the Gwyneth Paltrow of the future? And, while we're on the subject of Taylor and Gwyneth, did you know Gwyneth was apparently the one who set up Taylor and Jake Gyllenhaal? Actress, mother, blogger, matchmaker... She does it all!

Piper Perabo in Theyskens' Theory: How did this happen? How? I loved the Spring/Summer 2012 Theyskens' Theory collection so am really disappointed this dress didn't work well on the red carpet. It's mostly down to the fact Piper posed with her foot out in almost every shot. Are we supposed to be excited by the fact you're wearing Louboutins? What is that pose?

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Monique Lhuillier: This was the worst dress of the night. By a mile! And ironically it's not even that bad a dress when you see it on the runway - it's just a really, really awful choice for the red carpet. The dress is overwhelming SMG's tiny frame and the print just makes matters worse. Still, at least she's smiling...

Lea Michele in Marchesa: I usually think Lea looks great in Marchesa, but last night's red carpet choice just wasn't working for me. Although, in fairness, 60% of the problem was with the hair. I'm sure there will be some who do still like this look, but for me it was one of the night's biggest disappointments.

I also wasn't keen on Madonna's dress (great from the waist up, but terrible skirt), Natalie Portman's Marilyn-esque Lanvin number, or Jessica Alba in Gucci. Who do you think deserved the "worst dressed" title at last night's Golden Globe Awards?

Before the Golden Globe Awards took place last night all the gossips were talking about a possible showdown between Madonna and Angelina Jolie. But the only showdown Angelina took part in was on the red carpet. She wore a gorgeous silk dress by Atelier Versace (I actually think it might be my favourite from the night) and Nicole Kidman also wore Versace - opting instead for a studded number from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

So who did you prefer in Versace? My vote goes to Angelina but that's not to say I don't like Nicole's red carpet look as well. Her figure-hugging silver gown looked beautiful but it wasn't enough to take on the power of the Jolie. Can anyone successfully go up against Angelina?

As you all know, Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci is one of my red carpet favourites, so I was super excited to see who would wear the label to the Golden Globes. Rooney Mara would have been the obvious guess - as she's recently taken a liking to Givenchy - but she went for Nina Ricci instead, last night. The lovely Jessica Chastain was there to give us our Givenchy Haute Couture dose though, wearing a gorgeous silk tulle pearl embroidered dress.

Jessica accessorised perfectly with pearl earrings and a matching bracelet. I'm still a little undecided on the hair though. What are your thoughts? Was this red carpet look a winner?

The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards: Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein Collection

Remember Heidi Klum's dress at last year's Golden Globes? It was the Marc Jacobs halter, which saw her land on almost every worst dressed list. There is no danger of a repeat performance this year (I assume she deliberately played it safe) as she looked stunning in a custom Calvin Klein Collection silk crepe sheath dress and turquoise jewels.

I like this look because it reminds me both of Cameron Diaz at the 2007 Met Gala (such a great moment for jewellery and still one of Rachel Zoe's greatest styling moments) and Emma Stone at last year's Globes. Another triumph for CK and proof that if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Brad Pitt & Charlize Theron For W Magazine February 2012: Which Cover Do You Prefer?

Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron both cover W magazine's "Movie Issue" for February 2012. Brad, of course, is promoting his recent performances in The Tree Of Life and Moneyball (the latter could see him win the Oscar for best actor) and Charlize is resting her awards season hopes on her performance in Young Adult. You can read both their W interviews HERE.

I like both covers, but seeing how relaxed and cool Brad looks in his shoot I wish Charlize's editorial had followed a similar path. Don't get me wrong, she looks absolutely gorgeous in the Mario Sorrenti editorial, but we've seen the "vamp rolling around on the floor in underwear" thing before. Charlize looking slightly undone by the pool like Brad would have been amazing.

Oh well, maybe next time. Which is your favourite W cover?

The Critics' Choice Awards took place in LA last night - as I'm sure you all know - and it was all about the yellow dress. Spring/Summer 2012's hot colour was worn by three of the best dressed stars last night. Elle Fanning looked adorable in Rodarte's sunflower print gown, Diane Kruger boldly paired her yellow and grey Prada dress with hot pink accessories, and girl-of-the-moment Elizabeth Olsen stole the show in a long-sleeved Emilio Pucci number.

You all know that I'm a big fan of Elizabeth's style, and this was easily one of her top five red carpet looks to date. I'm so pleased that she didn't overwhelm the yellow dress with powerful accessories, sticking instead to beautiful nude heels and natural hair and makeup. She was easily my favourite on the red carpet last night. I can't wait to see what she wears to the Golden Globes on Sunday. Who thinks it will be The Row?

Ted Baker's Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Show

On Wednesday Ted Baker put on a catwalk show to introduce their Spring/Summer 2012 collection to staff. It's something they do every season, so that their teams on the shop floor are familiar with the clothes (great idea, no?) and this year they invited along a selection of digital press. I was expecting it to be a small, discreet affair, but when I got to the location it was like stepping into London Fashion Week five weeks early. Blankets had been provided to keep the front row warm, the location looked amazing and there was a confetti finale.

The collection was also pretty super, with floral dresses perfect for summer weddings, geek-chic tailored looks and red-carpet-worthy cocktail gowns. Here's a preview of what's to come.

Blake Lively Carries Mulberry's New Travel Bag

It's impossible not to have a crush on Blake Lively's style - for a while I tried to resist, but failed miserably. Earlier in the week she was snapped in New York, filming scenes for Gossip Girl, carrying the latest Mulberry handbag. The Mulberry Travel Bag was first seen in the S/S 2012 collection and doesn't hit stores until mid-February. Blake, being the totes-fab-amazeballs modern day style icon she is, obviously got her hands on the handbag early. Who's jealous?

Off subject for a moment, does anyone else think Blake is likely to leave Gossip Girl at any given moment? She's just scored the lead role in Steven Soderbergh’s latest project, The Side Effects, she has Anna Wintour on speed-dial, two US Vogue covers and a Chanel campaign on her CV, plus she had the balls to ditch Leonardo DiCaprio in favour of Ryan Reynolds.

Gossip Girl now needs Blake Lively to survive more than Blake Lively needs Gossip Girl.

But back to the Mulberry Travel Bag. Blake carried the Day Travel Bag, but it also comes in an oversized style and a smaller size, named the Travel Camera Bag. It has a hint of the Alexa about it, but I actually prefer the Travel style to the Alexa. Does anyone else agree?

Nina Dobrev's Elie Saab Dress, From People's Choice Awards Red Carpet to Airport Terminal

Until this morning I didn't know who Nina Dobrev, star of The Vampire Diaries, was. But that's the beauty of the red carpet: an up-and-coming star can suddenly become five steps closer to hitting the A-list if they choose the right dress. And Nina definitely chose the right dress for the People's Choice Awards, last night. The green Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2012 dress looked great against her glossy dark hair and the sleeve detail stood out brilliantly on the red carpet.

The Elie Saab number also caused a stir at LAX airport, where Nina had to rush off to straight after the awards. Wearing a red carpet dress through the airport whilst carrying a People's Choice Award? I think somebody has finally upstaged Victoria Beckham in the OTT-airport-fashion-wars! I like Nina's style already - I'll be keeping an eye on her...

Shoe Loving: Yves Saint Laurent's Heeled Loafers

Last season was all about Miu Miu's glitter booties. They were seen on the most stylish ladies across the globe (see A Girl, A Style's Miss B) and the high street knocked out loads of copies. The Spring/Summer 2012 collections are only just starting to hit stores, so it's a little bit premature to name the official Shoe Of The Season yet, but I would say Yves Saint Laurent's pink suede and gold heeled loafers are strong contenders. They're dreamy, right?

Heeled loafers have never appealed to me in the past - too practical, too much like the Clarks school shoes I always refused to wear - but with a hot pink update YSL have made them shocking chic. They definitely have my vote for Shoe Of The Season. Do they have yours too? What would you pair them with?

On Monday evening Stella McCartney celebrated the opening of her New York flagship store, in Soho, by inviting a selection of her most fashionable friends over for a Meat Free Monday dinner. By now I'm sure you will have seen the pictures and moved onto to the next event. But I'm still thinking about Elettra Wiedemann in that lace Stella McCartney jumpsuit. I love it!

Usually I'm not a fan of jumpsuits, but the model (and daughter of Isabella Rossellini) wears this number with such poise it looks as easy and effortless as a classic slip dress. Do you feel the same way? Or is Elettra's Stella jumpsuit failing to do it for you?

Also, is the random briefcase in the corner of the shot bothering anyone else? Why is it there? Who does it belong to? I hate a red carpet mystery...

Christina Aguilera Covers Marie Claire US

I've always been a big fan of Christina Aguilera, so I'm pleased to see her looking fabulous on the February 2012 cover of Marie Claire US. Christina wears a jacket from the latest Emporio Armani collection, which is a lovely surprise. I never would have predicted we'd see Christina in this collection but she looks great.

Although I think this is one of Christina's best fashion covers ever I do find it a bit ironic that Marie Claire have made such a big deal about her loving her "new curves" when the accompanying editorial only really features her face. I'm going to assume that's down to the lack of designer samples in anything above a UK 8 (US 4), rather than a bad editorial decision.

Anyway, Christina looks great and is happy with her body, sample size or not, saying, "I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me.”

Will You Be Wearing The Crop Top And Skirt Combo This Spring?

One of my favourite trends from the Spring/Summer 2012 collections is the bare midriff. I've always been a fan of the crop top as I grew up in the Spice Girls era, then hit my teens during the height of Sex and the City's fame, so naturally idolised the midriff-baring Carrie Bradshaw.

The bare midriff was all over the spring runways - mostly in the form of a bandeau top and high-waisted-skirt, therefore showing off the slimmest part of the torso - but was quickly written off by most as being "strictly for the catwalk". Until a Miu Miu clad Rooney Mara came along...

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star wore a Miu Miu crop top and skirt on the red carpet in Berlin, last week, and instantly topped the best dressed lists around the world.

My body shape is best compared to an ironing board, rather than an hourglasses, pear or apple; so being flat-chested I don't have to worry too much about the support aspect of this trend. But I imagine if you're larger than a B-cup this look becomes tricky. The tops seen on the runway were all super-skimpy, but you can channel Carrie Bradshaw with a long-sleeved t-shirt for extra coverage and still look fab.

What It's Like To Be a Temperley London Bride

Just before Christmas I visited the Temperley London offices to take a look at the Pre Fall 2012 collection. While I was there I also had a little peek at the wedding boutique. Now, I've never been the kind of girl who gets excited about weddings, but I did start going gaga over the Temperley bridal dresses. I even found my dream dress - or "the one" as the old cliché goes.

Temperley London brides visit the bridal boutique a number of times, for appointments and fittings before their big day. But you can experience a bit of that magic with these photos.

I think if I ever get married I'll have to be a Temperley bride. Partly because I fell in love with is the dress above centre, but also it's most likely the only bridal boutique with zebra-print rugs on the floor. And I do love a bit of animal print... More pictures after the jump.

Hot Right Now: Two-Tone Trousers

The Michael van der Ham Spring/Summer 2012 collection was one of my new season favourites, and that had a lot to do with the gorgeous two-tone trousers. Cropped just above the ankle, these trousers are the perfect balance between effortless-cool and dressed-up-glamour. The aqua and white colour combination is my favourite, but they also come in black and white and coral pink and white. Totally lust-worthy! I want them now...

And Michael van her Ham wasn't the only one showing two-tone trousers. At Antonio Berardi the pants were lightweight with a touch of pyjama-chic, whilst Celine's fabulously luxe ivory and grey pair was shown with a neat short-sleeved shirt for an office-appropriate vibe.

So far I've had little success finding the look in store. Both Adam and Boy. by Band of Outsiders have white and black combos available and Topshop have a black and "blonde" pair online (as well as some two-tone leggings). Start wearing the look now to get in on the trend early, or wait a few weeks until the stores are filled with two-tone trousers.

When I started Coco's Tea Party it was always my intention to feature high street clothing alongside designer pieces, so when I was contacted by Peacocks and asked to try out their latest limited edition collection, Peacocks Preview, I said yes. I've never shopped at Peacocks before but have always loved their collections with Peal Lowe. The PR team kindly sent over the limited edition Preview collection (which is inspired by "girl meets boy" style) to pair with pieces from my wardrobe. I've since become seriously obsessed with the polka dot shirt!

The Peacocks Preview collection consists of twelve items and prices start at £20. Instead of writing anymore I'll just let the clothes speak for themselves. But apologies for the slightly grainy picture quality - I've since got an SLR so am working on quality control. Promise.

This was the first time I've ever worn a playsuit, and I'm not so sure about it. On the hanger it looks super cute in a Zooey Deschanel kind of way but I wasn't feeling it so much once I put it on. That said, I'm going to give it another go in the summer - maybe it just takes a while to become a playsuit kind of girl...

There were so many beautiful red carpet looks, but, as everyone knows, if Brangelina are on the red carpet they're going to steal the show. And they did exactly that last night. Brad Pitt wore a suit from Spring/Summer 2012 Versace collection and walked with a cane after injuring himself skiing.

Angelina opted for a blush pink pleated Elie Saab dress. I love the simple elegance of the halter neck. Brad and Angelina continue to be one of the best dressed couples in Hollywood.

Earlier in the week Alexa Chung was on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to promote her latest TV project, 24 Hour Catwalk. Alexa's interview was actually pretty good (you can watch it HERE) and I forgot how much I like her when she's just chatting away. But obviously I was more interested the silver Marc Jacobs spring 2012 coat, which she was wearing as a dress, than hearing about her new show.

Wearing your coat as if it's a dress is the new hot thing. It was seen all over the Spring Summer 2012 runways and now that Alexa's also rocking the look it really will explode into "mega-trend" status. But you can't just wear any coat as a dress. Oh no. It has to be an ultra-fashion coat; so look for print, satins and silks, embellishment, bright colours, feathers, lace, brocade and an interesting mix textures.

Prada, Giambattista Valli, Marni, Nina Ricci, Marc Jacobs, Christopher Kane and Jil Sander should act as your coat dress inspiration. Either wear with black tights, like Alexa, or brave a bare leg.

The coat dress doesn't come cheap though. I haven't been able to find any high street versions and when they do inevitably arrive in store I doubt the quality will be anything to shout about. I'd suggest looking in vintage stores and on The Outnet for a more affordable option (you can guarantee the Prada and Marc Jacobs catwalk looks will be way over £1,000). I was really impressed by the amount of statement coats available at The Outnet - the prices still aren't cheap but the discounts are high. I'm particularly keen on the M Missoni number below.

Rachel Zoe and Brad Goreski Aren't Friends Any More

Another week, another fashion feud... This time it's all about Rachel Zoe and her former assistant, Brad Goreski. Again. At the beginning of week Brad was on The Wendy Williams Show promoting his new reality show It's A Brad, Brad World where he said the way his departure from Team Zoe was handled was "disappointing". He also revealed he sent Rachel and Rodger a Hermès tower when baby Skyler was born and didn't receive a thank you note in return. The beginning of the week points for subtle-but-not-so-subtle insults all went to Brad!

But by Wednesday evening Rachel was scoring some subtle-but-not-so-subtle insult points of her own. She retweeted a message reading, "I am sure @mrbradgoreski show will fail but @rzrachelzoe will continue to be a star in business and personal life" before quickly taking down the message. Is she Lindsay Lohan now? At least she hasn't come out with a story saying her Twitter account was hacked. Or worse, that Skyler was playing with her phone and sent the retweet because he felt he deserved an Hermès tower with four toys, not three.

I find this whole story really boring (in fact, I have no idea why I'm even writing about it) but I am somewhat interested to see where it goes next. Whatever happens it's got everyone talking about Brad and Rachel once more, so Bravo will be happy, as it must boost ratings for both their reality shows.

Nicola Roberts Models Preen on InStyle UK's Cover

As you all know I am a massive fan of Preen. It's been one of my favourite British labels for years (despite the fact Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi show in New York - please home to London) and the spring/summer 2012 collection is one of my new season favourites. I adore the square print pastel pieces and am desperate to see Rooney Mara wear one of their monochrome print dresses on the red carpet at some point during awards season.

Usually you only see the big name advertisers like Armani, Prada, Chanel, Dior and Vuitton on the covers of magazines (which is why it was such a surprise when Lady Gaga covered US Vogue wearing Haider Ackermann) so it's great to see Nicola Roberts dressed in Preen's spring collection on the February 2012 cover of InStyle UK. I'm a big fan of the cover.

In her interview with the magazine Nicola (who is a member of Girls Aloud and has just released her first solo album, if you're reading from America) admits she prefers retail therapy to counselling sessions saying, "I’d rather sit there all night thinking until I couldn’t think any more, then reward myself the next day with a pair of Louboutins."

American model Arizona Muse covers the February 2012 issue of British Vogue, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. For her cover portrait Arizona wears a look from the Prada Spring Summer 2012 collection. We've already seen Dakota Fanning model this collection on the February cover of ELLE UK and I'm sure there will be many more covers to follow. Will it be the collection of the season?

Whilst I'm a big fan of Arizona Muse's editorial work I not terribly keen on Vogue's choice of cover image. She looks too much like Pat from Eastenders with the heavy blue eyeshadow, red lips and those massive earrings. But I am happy to finally see a model smiling on a magazine cover and the full editorial is definitely more appealing.

The February issue of British Vogue also includes an interview with Stella McCartney and a shoot featuring theatre's hottest stars.

Kanye West Has Worked For a Lot of Fashion Houses

Kanye West took to Twitter last night to clear up all the rumours about his fashion career ("I did the first fashion show out of my own pocket and used the money I made touring to follow my passion") and set the record straight on his new design company DONDA. He also named some of the fashion houses he's been working at "under cover" over the last few years, which include Fendi and Giuseppe Zanotti.

Rooney Mara Wears Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci

Rooney Mara is everywhere right now, and while I still haven't completely warmed to her (she hasn't come across that well in interviews) I've been loving her wardrobe for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo promo. She wore that magnificent white Givenchy Couture dress to the world premiere and yesterday she was back in the label, rocking a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci jacket from the Fall 2010 collection with a Givenchy menswear t-shirt to the Madrid photocall.

A friend text me yesterday to say Rooney is being styled by Ryan Hastings, who also works with Mia Wasikowska, which makes perfect sense. I now can't wait to see what Rooney wears to the Golden Globes and Oscars. Givenchy could be a front-runner, as she's worn the label twice already. And I also have high hopes for custom Rodarte, especially as Rooney wore one of their dresses on the red carpet last night. A McQueen dress would also be insane on her!

Demi Moore Covers Harper's Bazaar US February 2012

Demi Moore is one of my favourite Hollywood stars so I was pleased to hear she'd be covering the February 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar US. Last year obviously wasn't great for Demi, as her split from Ashton Kutcher was announced (I loved them as a couple, so feel very disappointed in his behaviour), but I'm hoping she has a much better time in 2012.

Unfortunately I'm not that keen on her Harper's cover, which was shot by Cedric Buchet. I don't want to see Demi starring into the camera looking thoughtful - yet sad - whilst flashing her armpit at us (even if said armpit is covered up by her glossy hair). I much prefer the editorial shots where she is lively, happy and having fun with Amanda De Cadenet. She looks much more natural. It's not the conventional choice, but I would have preferred a smiling cover shot.

Channeling Chloë Moretz's Style With Metallics

It's pretty weird to admit it, but I'm totally obsessed with Chloë Moretz's red carpet style. She gets it right almost all of the time and keeps surprising us with her choices. Chloë's well and truly part of the fashion circuit now and the metallic Calvin Klein Collection dress she wore to the label's Spring Summer 2012 dinner, in New York last year, is still on my mind. Diane Kruger also wore a gold Calvin dress in 2011 and both looks have made me crave metallics.

I'm also very tempted by Topshop's metallic skirt, which will be great with knitwear now and grey t-shirts and masses of jewellery come spring. I shouldn't be shopping but it's all so shimmery I can't resist...

Will Katherine Heigl Get a Better Hairstyle in 2012?

I didn't start blogging so I could slam people's style, so I don't want to start sounding like I belong in Mean Girls here, but what the hell happened to Katherine Heigl's hair in 2011? If you were to guess her age purely by looking at her current hairstyle you'd be sticking to numbers above 50, but Katherine is actually only 33. This is not a trait you should look for in a haircut!

Katherine's 2011 bouffant style didn't work when she was dressed casually, when she was on the red carpet or when she was photographed for magazines (as you can see from the above). I'm assuming her hair is naturally wavy, and looking through old photographs of the New Year's Eve star she looked a lot better when she wore her hair longer. Back in 2008 Norman Jean Roy shot Katherine for the cover of Vanity Fair and she wore her hair in a wavy Lauren Bacall style. Although it's a vintage look the hairstyle is much more youthful than her current bouffant.

Katherine is very, very pretty and her movie career appears to be going from strength to strength (she's the new queen of the romcom) so her hair should be working with her, not against her. My one celebrity style wish for 2012 is that Katherine sorts out her hair.

I'm using my only style wish for the whole year on you, Katherine Heigl! Not Jennifer Aniston and her inability to wear colour, not Vanessa Hudgens and her current obsession with all things bohemian, not even Jessie J and her horrific experiments with hosiery. It's all on you, so please don't let me down!

We've already seen ELLE UK's February 2012 subscribers cover, featuring Dakota Fanning, and now the newsstand cover has finally been released too. Dakota wears a look from Prada's Spring Summer 2012 collection, which I absolutely adore. I think this month I prefer ELLE's newsstand cover, for once.

The 17 year-old actress was photographed for the magazine by David Slijper and it's her first major glossy cover. Talking to ELLE about the rising number of young actresses becoming international style icons Dakota says, "I don't think there should be an age limit on an interest, do you know what I mean?"

Spring Summer 2012 Trend: White Pleated Dresses

Every season there is one runway look that sums up the entire mood of the moment. It's an image you will see printed in every single magazine, again and again. The first exit from Burberry Prorsum's A/W 2010 collection (the aviator jacket) is a good example, as is exit 5 (the blue blazer, printed scarf and jodhpurs) from the Balenciaga A/W 2007 collection.

For Spring Summer 2012 I think the defining look of the season will be Jil Sander exit 30, the pleated white midi skirt and Picasso knit jumper. It's a look that's already had a fair amount of magazine coverage, and we're only just onto the February issues! By summer I'm sure we will have seen exit 30 a lot. So what's the message here? That white pleats are in, of course.

Emma Stone has already got on board with the trend, wearing a pleated number from Jonathan Saunders' S/S 2012 collection on the red carpet back in October. And I don't think it will be long before we see Chloe's pleat-effect white midi dress breezing down the red carpet either. Kate Bosworth's stylist is sure to call it in.

If you're going to wear a white pleat skirt or dress this summer midi-length is the way to go. Either channel the 1950s vibe seen on the runway at Jil Sander, with neat little sweaters and pointed heels, or contrast the feminine pleats with a chunky platform shoe, Chloé-style.

The Row's cotton dress would be a great investment if you have the cash. It may be super on trend this season but it has a timeless elegance that will make it appropriate for many summers to come. Over the weekend I discovered Coco Rocha's Instagram. Coco is currently on a cruise in the Bahamas with her husband, and her pictures have made me crave some new Spring Summer 2012 pieces. It may be blustery and grey outside in London but I can still brighten up with Topshop's floral vest top which, for now, I'd pair with a classic black blazer - way more chic than an old cardigan, and just as warm! Uma Thurman covers the February 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. Usually I love their covers but I'm not crazy about this one - let's hope the subscribers issue and editorial are a little more exciting than the newsstand image.

Slightly unflattering cover shot aside I'm pretty excited about this issue of Bazaar. Carine Roitfeld's feature on "scandal and ageless chic" is sure to be good and I'm interested to see what spring 2012 trends the HB team are championing.

Kate Middleton Covers Tatler For a Second Time, But They've Still Never Officially Photographed Her

Every fashion magazine in the world wants Kate Middleton on their cover. Alexandra Shulman has failed to get her, so has Anna Wintour. But the Duchess of Cambridge has appeared on the cover of Tatler twice. How have they managed to shoot her before British and US Vogue, you may wonder. The answer: they haven't.

Tatler's February 2011 issue featured four (pretty creepy) Andy Warhol style photographs of Kate, taken at the official engagement announcement, and she also covers their February 2012 issue. This time the cover looks like an editorial shot, but it is actually just another heavily photoshopped image from Getty photographer, Chris Jackson.

Pippa Middleton also appeared on Tatler's cover back in August 2011. Again it was another edited paparazzi shot.

Does it bother you then Tatler have never officially photographed the Middletons? Or are you just happy to see them on the cover, wherever the images came from?

Alessandra and Lily join a long list of other mamas-to-be, including Jessica Simpson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Garner, Kourtney Kardashian and Beyonce - who is reportedly due any day now.

If Miranda and Orlando have baby number two in 2012 it will be a quite a year for the Victoria's Secret models.

The Best of 2011: Kate's McQueen Wedding Dress

I was in New York for the Royal Wedding. Which meant two things. Firstly, that I missed the initial "Ooh it's a McQueen dress" excitement and, secondly, that I didn't realise Pippa Middleton's bottom was an overnight phenomenon until cab drivers started mentioning it.

Because of the time difference I missed all of the church arrivals and the hoopla that came before the ceremony, so when I found this video of Kate's dress being revealed for the first time it was a lovely treat. I love that Grazia magazine's Style Director, Paul Reed, shouts "YAY!" as soon as the BBC confirm it's a McQueen dress.

Predicting The US Vogue 2012 Cover Stars

Everyone knows I adore US Vogue and every month I'm always dying to see who's on the cover. As Anna Wintour said recently on CBS, "To be in Vogue has to mean something." These covers aren't given out willy-nilly, they're a "validation" that you're on the A-list.

So which twelve women will be on the cover in 2012? The January issue went to Meryl Streep and it's already been confirmed Taylor Swift has been shot for February and Adele will cover the March issue. Predicting future magazine covers is one of my favourite pastimes, so I thought I'd have a guess at the April, May, June and July issues of American Vogue.

I would love to see Jennifer Lawrence cover the April issue. The Hunger Games comes out in March (which is conveniently when the April issue hits newsstands) and makes Jennifer the perfect fit for the annual shape issue. The Amazing Spider-Man comes out in early July, so a May or June cover would work well for leading-lady Emma Stone - who has been shot for the magazine twice but has never appeared on the cover. Emma needs a Vogue cover!

For June and July I'm going to guess slightly outside the box and go for Beyoncé and Karlie Kloss. American Vogue usually only does one model cover a year (and it's normally a super like Gisele or Kate Moss). Karlie is a good bet for 2012 though, as her modelling career is going from strength to strength and she's constantly seen in Vogue's editorials.

Beyoncé is a bit of a wild card. But she kept her wedding dress a secret for years so we probably won't see Baby Beyoncé (who, by the way, is reportedly due any day now) for a good couple of months. Could Anna bag the exclusive pictures? I'd love to see that!

Other guesses for the year would have to be the old favourites: Gisele, Gwyneth, Jennifer Aniston, Blake, Cameron and Nicole Kidman. I also think Keira Knightley is a safe bet, as she has two new movies scheduled for 2012.

Clearly the British fashion industry is going to go bananas for sporty-chic this year. We've already seen the Olympic style ballet pumps from French Sole, Victoria Beckham's Spring Summer 2012 collection had lots of sportswear influences and Stella McCartney has designed Team GB's kit for the London Olympics.

The Best of 2011: Florence Sings at the Chanel Show

Although Beyoncé was my official "Woman of the Year" Florence Welch wasn't that far behind Queen B. Not only did Florence release a brilliant second album this year, she also looked fabulous on every single red carpet she stepped onto and sang at the Chanel Spring Summer 2012 show. From the inside of the giant seashell, no less. She's Karl's new favourite!

The New Year is sure to be just as exciting for Florence and her machine. She'll kick off 2012 in style with her January cover for British Vogue and I wouldn't be surprised if she scored a Chanel campaign and/or a US Vogue cover later in the year either.

Before I sign off for Christmas I had to share 3.1 Phillip Lim's Pre Fall 2012 collection with you. I've lost track of the Pre collections, so this could be old news by now. If you've already seen it I apologise, but for those of you that haven't please enjoy the sheer embellished trousers, leather skirts, pop art inspired knits and PVC 'It' bags. I want the entire collection!
