A few days before London Fashion Week began I visited the My-Wardrobe offices to try on a couple of Spring/Summer 2012 pieces. Although my attention was mainly focused around a Theyskens' Theory cropped jacket (soooo pretty) I also gave Love Moschino's black leather dress a go, and to my surprise actually really liked it. Are you already a fan of this trend?
I think the trick to nailing the leather dress trend is to go for a style that's fitted but not body-con. Model Poppy Delevingne got the look right at the Temperley London A/W 2012 after-party, proving a coat of red lipstick is the only accessory a leather dress needs.
If black leather is a little too heavy for your style look out for colourful leather shift dresses instead. Vince have a gorgeous blue mini in their spring collection and Blake Lively has already worked the look on the red carpet, opting for a bright Gucci number. My personal favourite is Gap's tan leather dress though - it's a minimalists dream!
