Autumn/Winter 2012 has been a great season. There have been plenty of shows I liked, many that I loved and a handful of collections I'm desperate to wear (plus, let's not forget, a little bit of drama at Jil Sander and YSL). But that said very little has really jumped out at me. Autumn/Winter 2012 has been great, but not fantastic. That was until Alexander McQueen.
Even from grainy TwitPics I knew I'd love this collection. It's dramatic, it feels fresh, there are looks I want to appear on the red carpet and pieces I can't wait to see in the pages of Vogue. There may be little in the way of everyday wearable pieces, but I'd rather see the tailored coats/pants/skirts in store and have a total fashion-fantast moment on the runway.
Sarah Burton is an absolute genius! But Paris isn't over yet. We've still got Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Elie Saab today. All are strong favourites of mine, so perhaps all the heart-stopping fashion moments have been saved until last...

This AW 2012 was very good. I also liked Giambattista Valli, Rochas, Valentino, and many more... What I did find was too much, was the nudity going towars vulgarity & sexualization of women, through so many inappropriate transparent garments.
