I have a dream. A red carpet dream that someone will wear Mary Katrantzou to the Accadamy Awards. This, of course, it unlikely to happen. For a start if you look at the "Best Actress" nominees this year there are no Katrantzou candidates (the most suitable would be Jessica Chastain, but even with super-stylist Elizabeth Stewart on side I can't see it happening). Then there's the simple fact that whenever an actress strays from the stereotypical Oscar dress - think Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries von Noten - it doesn't fare well on the best dressed lists.
Angelina Jolie is presenting tonight. It's never going to happen, but just take a moment to imagine her wearing this dress. Magical, right? It would make red carpet history...
