The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue 2012

Vanity Fair's March 2012 cover is out and it's extra special this month as it's the annual Hollywood Issue. This year the cover features eleven up-and-coming actresses, who were all exclusively photographed for the magazine by Mario Testino.

From left to right we have: Rooney Mara, Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling.

I'm so pleased to see Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and Elizabeth Olsen on the cover. And even though I'm not completely won over by the pastel coloured theme I do think this is a gorgeous cover. I can't wait to buy the issue. Are you equally as excited about the 2012 Hollywood Issue?

What do you think of Vanity Fair's 2012 Hollywood Issue? A good selection of actresses?

  1. I love the cover! Although I agree with you about the pastel palette...a little washed out, I think.

Since you love your mags, I thought I'd give you the heads up that Issue 3 of Peut-Etre magazine is out, which I posted about here (if you want a quick preview): http://brigadeirochoc.blogspot.com.au/2012/01/peut-etre-magazine-issue-3-aka-haute.html

  3. GOD this is so beautiful. I love the pastels - I know vanity Fair likes to do Old Hollywood themes often, but they did a FABULOUS job with this cover. It's exactly like something out of an early Lauren Bacall film.

  5. Ok nice choices sort of Elizabeth Olsen and Mia should be switched Shailene is giving to much Jessica Rabbit for my taste. Also it seams like they are going for a young under 25 issue and Paula seems a bit out of place also the hair is to princess lea for my taste. Also no clue who Adepero Oduye even is outside of that it seams like a relatively nice cover. Last critique Vanity Fair has taken old haollywood glam a step to far everytime I see a cover I'm wondering which celeb that tapped to be Veronica Lake Between this cover Emma stone and countless others its seams they need a new direction as mag getting stale guys!

  6. The satin dresses are capturing the light magnificently thus creating a very glamourous cover however, Emma Stone is obviously missing.

  7. I do love the cover, but I'm disappointed that once again, there are absolutely no Asian women to be seen. But I think Jennifer Lawrence, Rooney Mara and Felicity Jones look so stunning.
