Over the weekend Nicole Richie was out shopping at
Satine Boutique, in Los Angeles. It wasn't just any old Saturday shopping trip though. Nicole was out queueing for a changing room, bustling for the last size small and spending her cash to support
Small Business Saturday, which was founded by American Express and aims to encourage people to shop at local small businesses over the holiday season. Christy Turlington and Chloë Sevigny also took part in the shopathon. You've got to love a good cause that involves shopping!
Anyway, I'm not just posting because this it's a great idea (I don't shop at small businesses enough - must try harder), it's also because Nicole's Saturday shopping outfit is super adorable. I
must get myself a chunky red knit asap. From a small business, of course...
And if you're curious, Nicole bought herself a Wren striped sweater and a Kasil Workshop pair of jeans. Do you like Nicole's shopping look? And do you regularly shop at small businesses?

Think this is such a great intiative. I really like the idea of American Express doing this to support smaller businesses and especially at this time of year.

ReplyDeleteI try to shop small business as much as possible, but often convinence takes over & I end up online at a one stop shop like ASOS or somewhere similar! Definiatly must try harder!
