Oh Riccardo Tisci, I think you've gone and done it again. Last year Zoe Saldana was the best dressed at the Oscars, without a doubt, in a purple hued Givenchy gown. This year Cate Blanchett rocked a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci number. The “Tao” dress from S/S 2011. Remember how much I loved this collection? I'm so happy that Cate wore it on the red carpet. Although there are a few other red carpet looks from last night that I'm going crazy for (stay tuned) I think this is the best. If not the best it's the one to beat, for sure...

100% agree. I never would have picked Cate Blanchett to be the best dressed at the Oscars, she usually plays it so safe, but this is GORGEOUS.

agreed, as soon as i saw her i said to the boy "there's the best dressed". i thought most of the other dresses were a bit dull, although amy adams looked quite nice.

ReplyDeleteSome fashion "expert" here in Norway thought Cate looked hideous and that she would top the worst dressed list. She shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion, that not-so well dressed old hag..

ReplyDeleteBefore the show last night, I was looking at a "Hit & Misses: Oscars 2010" on tvguide.com and they listed Zoe Saldana as a miss. I just started laughing. They also listed Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Couture as a miss. How little they know...
