I am so so so excited about UK ELLE's January issue. Not only is it a model on the cover, it's a supermodel. Helena Christensen (shot by Jan Welters) is one of my favourite models, and she looks especially fabulous on the subscribers cover.
UK ELLE was the first fashion magazine I ever read, and I don't think I would have really "discovered" fashion if I hadn't picked up that first copy, aged 13. And it still remains a favourite of mine today. Their 2009 covers were amazing (I loved Kate Hudson and Courtney Love's the best) and looking at their January cover it looks like 2010 will be just as good.
I can't wait for the postman to deliver my copy. If you're not a subscriber the issue hits newsstands on Wednesday.

I love Elle too and especially Elle Italia, I think they have a great point of view on everything and not just on fashion. Alhthough the editorials are really fresh and original. Great! can't wait to see the january issue!

Finally...a decent cover! Been so dissappointed with their covers recently...especially Cheryl Cole! Though my boyfriend was pretty happy, and also though that Kate Hudons spread was pretty awful as well.
I don't mind who's on the cover as long as it's more like this. Though I'd kind of like to see Heidi Klum

Ahhhhhh... Elle.
I have no qulams admitting it is my favourite magazine, but am always surprised by the shocked looks I get when I declare my love.
For some reason, many people on the fringes of the fashion industry seem to enjoy looking down their nose at it, which I just don't get.
So it doesn't pretend to be high-brow or pretensious...? Its still a damn sight more on-beat and fashion-conscious than most mags, including the 'art/culture/music/photgraphy/ we're-so-cool' genre.
Wow, didn't mean for that to turn so ranty!
