One of my greatest ambitions in life is to have a walk-in-wardrobe with a shoe wall. Yes, this is a rather shallow ambition to have, but I'm sure deep down a lot of you dream of your very own shoe wall too.
Two days ago I picked up a copy of the new InStyle (Thandie Newton looks amazing on the cover) and was greeted with this image below.

This is Christina Aguilera's shoe wall. She says "Everything on my shoe wall is grouped by designer - Louboutin, McQueen, YSL - all in their own family."
If you click on the image to enlarge it you'll be able to see just how much Louboutin she has - it's insane!
Louboutin is my favorite shoe designer so I am naturally jealous of Christina. At the moment I'm loving (from afar) the Maggie 140 pumps, from Net-A-Porter. You'll known them because Victoria Beckham wore them to watch the LA Lakers at the beginning of the week.

If you were (or are) lucky enough to have your own shoe wall, which label would take up the most space? For me it would obviously be Louboutin, probably followed by Alaïa...

It is dream wardrobe!!! ))))
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame that someone so tacky has such an amazing wardrobe...
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those shoes as well... oh lord
xx
yes, it could definitely be considered a shallow goal by some...but how is it different than having any other sort of collection?? hey, at least you can actually wear what you collect!
ReplyDeletehaha, take care, and good luck with your ambition ;3
Wow - how marvellous.
ReplyDeleteMine would be Roger Vivier!!
Jealous... Those Maggie's are just amazing... The toe cap is genius.
ReplyDeleteLouboutin Love. (And then Fendi).

OMGGG
ReplyDeletei think it would be rick owens!!
Christina is not tacky. But let's assume she is, she deserves this wardrobe because she worked hard for it and paid for it all herself... So there's no shame there.
ReplyDeleteIn our new house, mom will have her own walk-in and I am green with envy. I will have a shoe wall but not a walk-in. That said, I do not own designer shoes which is a dream for me. One day I will and that's something I'm working on
As for which designer labels, hmmm... Any designer label that makes a beautiful shoe. Obviously that would include Louboutin, YSL, Alaia, Prada, etc...
this makes me want to kill myself
ReplyDeletemine too!!
ReplyDeleteThat is impressive. I don't think my shoe wall would be categorized by brand, as I love too many, but by style: boot, shoe boot, over the knee boot, etc.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her closet. It's a beautiful aspiration to have!
ReplyDeleteMine would be Louboutin's and Manolo's first...
Much Love,
MG

Yves Saint Laurent, Marni, Fendi, Burberry...!!!

Well. I have a long list of designer shoes...but, i guess i would have to say...marni and prada.
ReplyDeletehuzzah to the wall. i need to get me one.
but but...! she has lot's of flip flops as well.. what does that mean??
ReplyDeleteI saw that issue of InStyle and almost died!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous...
OMG that is my dream too! And definitely filled with Alaia...
ReplyDeleteMy dream to. Its not completely shallow because if you have the money to have it then you've made it. Id fill it with Louboutin to and Kurt Geiger.

ReplyDeleteWOW.
ReplyDeleteI love that they included Max in the photo. Haha
-meream
wooooooooow that is the dream!!.x
ReplyDeleteLouboutin rarely fits me...I have to admire from afar.
ReplyDeleteI think my heart just stopped! I love the fact that it's pink, because pink is my favorite color-my blackberry is pink, my mac is pink...so perfect.
ReplyDeleteLovin' it lovin' lovin' it large! My wares are currently displayed in boxes with polaroid snap shops on them so I can see what's inside and also so the precious beauties don't collect dust, but i sooo want a shoe wall. I have to say Manolo's and Louboutin's all the way!
ReplyDeleteAlso agree with Zoe - Kurt Geiger is inexpensive designer, it also help having friends work in the Pr dep. there, yippee!
xoxo
Saw this in InStyle yesterday, amazing!
ReplyDeleteI don' have a shoe wall, I have shoe cupboards, but I don't own any Louboutins. Man she's got too much money.
ReplyDeleteLouboutin's would probably take up a sizeable chunk of my shoe wall too. In fact I might have to have one wall for them and a separate one for all the other shoes?! Or is that far too greedy...Haha!
ReplyDeletexxx
I loved her whole house - so kitsch and feelgood and full of colour.
ReplyDeleteGiuseppe Zanotti and Loubies, obviously.
I hope i can have that much shoes when i have my big family =P
