One of the most fun things that could happen in life is getting locked in a department store overnight. Imagine all the fun you could have playing with the clothes, testing all the new fragrances and trying on the shoes.
This appears to be the theme for Terry Richardson's A/W 09 shoot for Barney's. I've noticed stores have been doing more and more fashion shoots for instore magazines and lookbooks recently, but I've never seen a model lineup as good as this one. Anja Rubik, Catherine McNeil and Suvi Maria Koponen.
I guess they just liked the idea of playing around in Barney's all day.
If you had to be locked in a department store overnight, which one would you pick? I think I'd go for Selfridges.

when i was little i used to dream of being locked in a supermarket overnight haha!
we don't really have dept stores here but now i'd love to be locked anywhere that sold dressy, sparkly, fun cocktail dresses... maybe betsey johnson?

Can it be an online shop? Maybe Net-a Porter. Just the handbag section would be fine, I don't ask for much.

For me, it would have to be Libertys. I'd get together a family of those leather rhinos and have a tea party.

I love the Rodarte look. Good to see Mr. Richardson shooting models that are fully clothed for a change. lol.

wow this shoot is amazing! my idea of the perfect girls night in :-) i would def choose selfridges as well...or maybe lane crawford in hong kong! they have the most amazing shoe selection.

I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT THIS. I think of how I could hide in a cupboard or something and come out at night and roam around my local westfield... sigh. Sleep in beautiful big beds at david jones and fill a gorgeous prada bag with all my stuff and then help myself at the makeup counter... it would be amazing!
