Last night Rachel Bilson attended Vogue’s one year anniversary party for 3.1 Phillip Lim’s L.A. store. Rachel hasn't been seen around for ages so it's nice to see her popping up at fashion events again.
But it isn't Rachel's look I'm lusting after, Teen Vogue's Lisa Love was wearing a stunning top covered in gold paillettes. I always liked Lisa Love in The Hills, back in the days when The Hills was about fashion not Hedi and Spencer.
Paillettes are just sequins but slightly bigger and with a French name. This summer sequins/paillettes feel so right, I love them in earthy colours worn with pale denim. Lisa makes them look almost office-appropriate (that is if you work on a fashion magazine) with her classic pencil skirt, showing they can be quite versatile.

I really don't think Rachel should have worn matching trousers and jacket, it's slightly overkill in such a strong material. But I do love the sequin top!
I really need to invest in something to wear which is sequins :)

Love the sequins, but what Lisa is wearing is definitey something that is only appropriate for a glamorous night out and not for everyday wear. I actually find it difficult to dress up these days, because most places are more casual chic than all out glamtastic. Love the items you posted, especially the Kane dress.
P.S. Love the Kane t-shirts as well from your last post. DSM in London actually had a great selection of these and had them discounted. Not sure if it was a mistake on their part...

there's so many posts about sequins today! i like them, but idk everyone wearing them right when the trend started kinda killed it for me.
Wow she looks so fabulous! I really do love that Christopher Kane dress, and the polka dot top looks wonderful.
This is great, although I love both of their looks. I like sequins when they are done right, like on Lisa's top.

I love that Chloe skirt. It seems that every time I see something I adore, it's by Chloe.
And Rachel! My number 1 fashion icon, she's been all but gone lately. It's so nice to see her again! And blahh the Hills was good with fashion, that's why I watched it before. Now it's nothing better than fake-real melodrama.
PS I don't know if you've heard about Tom Sturridge in the UK, but he & Rachel are in a film together "Waitng on Forever" or something like that. I don't know anything about it, but I'm excited =)

I love sequins too. Yesterday i bought a little black seuins vest, is amazing! I don't like Rachel's blazer... to much shiny!

I just love pailettes in different styles!
